In response to the coronavirus public health emergency, CMS has broadened access to Medicare telehealth services.

Points to Note:

  1. Practices may now render full E&M services to patients in areas where there is no shortage of providers (99211-215 with appropriate modifiers appended).
  2. No originating site restrictions. You can evaluate patients in their home setting.
  3. Use of telephones with audio and video capabilities, we could use our mobile phones.
  4. Coverage for all telehealth codes including those unrelated to COVID (retroactive 03/06/20)
